I’m a born and bred Southern California girl, who became an unexpected Manitoba, Canada girl when I went and fell in love with a Winnipeger.
The changes in my life have been drastic, to say the least. Going from perpetual sunshine and palm trees to Maple trees and -30C/-22F winter temperatures is quite a leap, but to be honest, I’ve never been happier in my life. All thanks to my amazing husband and new extended family and friends.
Since I’ve been here, I have had the chance to explore my many interest. Such as writing (and starting this blog), science and history (I’ve been volunteering at the local Science and Human History Museum) and my many Domestic Goddess endeavors like cooking and baking, gardening, and interior design. All of which I enjoy sharing with you!
The intent of this site and its various categories is to demonstrate that whether you are looking for a grande adventure outside of your comfort zone or simply looking to add a bit of adventure right in your own backyard, it can be done. All with just a little adjustment in perspective. Despite life’s many challenges, be they great or small, when you look at the beauty that surrounds us and actually be able to see it clearly, through honest and uninfluenced eyes, the world is suddenly a much more beautiful and peaceful place.
I invite you to join me on this journey of adjustment and newness and to share in all the surprises and changes that happen along the way. Just click on the ‘follow’ button.
